Yesterday I ordered a copy of Patti Smith’s book “Just Kids”, then I read this article, then stumbled across this editorial….and all the pieces fell into place.
I’ve always admired Smith’s uncompromising style, both on stage and off.

I think people often forget that southern hemisphere designers are some of the hardest working people in the game. Not only are their schedules the complete opposite of the worldwide recognized fashion calendar, but they’re expected to cater to both it and their own. Meaning each collection has to offer something for both seasons, not always an easy task. However two of my favorite Aussies, Lover and Karen Walker, handle the balance beautifully, don’t you agree?

I love the fun ensembles Dakota Fanning sported for her December/January 2010 Teen Vogue spread. She’s actually grown up to be quite a pretty little girl. Didn’t see that one coming.
*Had to squeeze this one in because of those shoes!*

Lane Crawford’s Fashion Director Sarah Rutson has a seriously cool, laid back style. One of my favorites to watch for during fashion week.
